Does Tick Hassler have a confirmed age? I can't find anything in the novel and the wiki just says 'adolescent'.

WHY didnt ember have a backup generator???!!!

It would fire up when the lights went out, providing fainter but good light to see in. Also, why didn't they leave a manual in the pipeworks about the generator and how it works and what it does and most importantly, how to fix it. Also about the exit why did they make it so ****ing complex why couldnt they add a key to the box that unlocks a door in the wall with idk a elevator?

I emailed Jeanne DuPrau for the proper decoding of the Instructions for Egress (yes, even the "back up onto..." part that seemingly nobody has figured out on their own).

She sent it to me, but told me, "Please don’t show it to anyone who hasn’t finished reading the book!" and I haven't added it to respect her wishes.

However, this wiki is most likely meant for and run by people who have read it, so... should I add the complete Instructions to the wiki page? I'd do it as a poll, but I wanted to explain the context behind this dilemma.

Hello! This wiki was adopted a few months ago by ReadingBubble who soon after adopting this wonderful wiki, promoted ARMYandBLINK11 to an admin and bureaucrat. The two have since gone inactive leaving no other moderators, bureaucrats, or admins to take care of this wiki so I've decided that after I've met all the requirements of adopting a wiki, I will adopt this one!
